Restaurant Loop51 is a hospitality interior design project in Amsterdam by Studio Elèn Letort. Inspired by a desire to create a warm, timeless atmosphere with subtle references to classic American diner culture. Custom bistro tables, sourced modernist bar stools and a tailored bar design introduce a sense of familiarity, while remaining understated and refined. The contrast between the high-lacquered bar and the warm wood backbar adds a nostalgic layer to the interior, balancing polished surfaces with natural warmth. Rather than recreating a diner aesthetic, the design draws on its character and sense of comfort, translating these influences into a contemporary hospitality environment. The result is a space that feels inviting, familiar and enduring, with a quiet sense of nostalgia running throughout.
