Restaurant De Tros is a hospitality interior design project in Amsterdam by Studio Elèn Letort, developed as a neighbourhood café with a serious approach to food.

Studio Elèn Letort was involved in both the concept development and interior design, creating a space that feels warm, informal and full of character. The interior was shaped around an approachable retro sensibility — familiar, warm and slightly nostalgic, without becoming overly styled. Bespoke furniture pieces were designed to support the relaxed rhythm of the restaurant, while sourced furniture adds softness and a collected quality to the space. A custom bar forms the central anchor of the interior, complemented by stainless-steel tables that bring a direct, functional contrast to the warmer materials around them. For the terrace, a handmade mosaic table was created as a generous gathering point.

Together with atmospheric lighting, it extends the spirit of De Tros outside: casual, inviting and quietly distinctive.

The result is a neighbourhood restaurant that feels easy to enter, yet carefully considered in every detail.
